There is a serious safety risk involved in a room with 2 adults when there should be 3-4 adults in the room. The Bronx location is very understaffed and administration doesn't seem to care. Maybe it's time that senior management does a top to bottom investigation to find out what's going on and who's funneling money.

There is no appreciation for staff and the pay doesnt take into consideration how much experience you have or how hard of a worker you are. There are very high turnover rates with staff in all departments. The school is located within walking distance of the Bronx Zoo. There are a school nurse and a social worker on staff as well. All precautions are taken to ensure that the children are not served any food that may cause allergic reactions. The kitchen staff is attentive to the needs of each child as an individual. Hot lunches are served for Breakfast and Lunch in the classrooms. The staff and children have Zumba and Yoga classes to help them stay in shape and to relax. We have an open door policy which allows parents to come in and visit the classroom at any time. Open communication and with parents is encouraged. Each teacher is given good support with the help of 2 assistant teachers in each classroom. They are always on call for any problems that you may encounter. The administration goes out of their way to help new staff members adapt to the environment. The staff is friendly and the children and teachers have access to many caring therapists. The school has so much beautiful artwork made by the children which are displayed everywhere you go. Unfortunately, I developed a physical disability which forced me to take a medical leave. I really enjoyed working for Kennedy Child Study Center.
